Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

“PCB Design School” means PCB Design School UK Limited

The “Client” means the person, company or other legal entity identified as providing a request for the supply of services to PCB Design School

“Intellectual Property” includes all training materials, course manuals, designs, trademarks, and confidential information

“Student” means the person attending the course, they may be the same as the Client or a delegate of the Client.

“Services” refers to courses provided by the PCB Design School.

2. Acceptance of booking

PCB Design School has the right to not accept a booking.

Booking requests should be made to or info@pcbdesignschool.com. All bookings are subject to availability.

A booking should only be deemed to be accepted when PCB Design School issues written confirmation of received payment.

3. Price

Prices may be changed from that on PCB Design School’s website at their discretion and for any reasons prior to the course commencement. Where this affects the price payable by the Client and the Client does not wish to proceed at the new price, a full refund will be payable.

Course price does not include travel, accommodation or other related expenses unless explicitly stated.

Course prices are subject to UK rate VAT.

4. Payment

The fee to attend a course must be paid on receipt of invoice by cheque, credit card, debit card or bank transfer.

PCB Design School has the right to refuse an attendee entry to the course if the course fee is not paid before the date of the course.

5. Training Courses

The contents of course schedules are intended for general guidance only and do not form any part of a contract. PCB Design School reserves the right to make any reasonable variations to public and in-house courses, including the content, date, and locations of the courses, without notice.

The indication of course availability and location shown on the PCB Design School website is for general guidance only and does not form any part of a contract. Please contact PCB Design School before making any travel or accommodation arrangements as PCB Design School will not be liable for any action that you may take in reliance on the information.

It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that the Students meet the prerequisites of the course on which they are booked, and that the course content meets their requirements.

PCB Design School will perform the courses with reasonable skill and care. Any other conditions or warranties whether express or implied as to the quantity of the courses are hereby expressly excluded.

Unless otherwise indicated, all PCB Design School courses are delivered in English, and all Students must be sufficiently proficient in English language before attending a course.

PCB Design School reserve the right to refuse admission to the training premises by any person whom they consider in their absolute discretion to be unsuitable for admission onto the training premises or to remove any such person after the commencement of a course.

6. Cancellations

PCB Design School reserves the right to arrange an alternative date for a course. In such circumstances, PCB Design School will endeavour to provide notice of change to the Client. In the event of cancellation, the Client will be entitled to credit to book onto the next suitable course, but PCB Design School shall not be liable for any loss or other expenses.

When the Client cancels PCB Design School is not obligated to provide any refunds, however, the transfer of an alternative Student to the same course may be requested by the Client.

7. Course Duration

Course durations are clearly stated on the website.

All classroom-based courses are run on working days only, unless otherwise stated. On the rare occasion where a training event duration spans a weekend, the course will continue the following week.

8. Credit Rating

PCB Design School reserves the right to assess the financial status of any organisation or individual making a booking or in the process of making a booking and reserves the right to require payment prior to confirming a booking.

9. Liability

PCB Design Schools total liability for any loss or damage shall not exceed the price payable for the Services, except in cases of personal injury or death.

PCB Design School shall not be liable howsoever caused for indirect or consequential loss including but not limited to loss of profits; loss of revenue; loss of goodwill; loss of data; failure to achieve savings.

10. Purchase of Multiple Courses

Discounts are available when multiple Services are purchased by the Client. For instance, where multiple Students from the same Client attend the same course or the same Student attends multiple courses, minimum of 4 students. The same Terms and Conditions apply. Prices are available for multiple course discounts on request.

11. Force Majeure

PCB Design School shall not be in breach of this contract if there is any total or partial failure of performance by it of its duties and obligations under this contract occasioned by any act of God, fire, act of government or state, war, civil commotion, insurrection, embargo, prevention from or hindrance from obtaining any raw materials or energy, sickness, or other cause beyond its reasonable control.

If PCB Design School is unable to perform its duties and obligations under this contract as a direct result of one or more such causes, PCB Design School shall give written notice to the Client of such inability stating the cause in question.

12. Data Protection and Confidentiality

The policy of PCB Design School with respect to data protection is detailed in their Terms and Conditions and its Privacy Policy which should be read in conjunction with these Terms and Conditions.

All Intellectual Property associated with training courses shall remain vested in PCB Design School.

Intellectual Property shall not be copied or reproduced or disclosed to any third party without the prior written consent of PCB Design School. The Client shall ensure that its employees and all those under the Client’s control and supervision comply with this obligation.

Where Services are provided to the specification or special requirements of the Client, the Client shall indemnify PCB Design School against all costs, claims and damages incurred or arising out of any alleged infringements of Intellectual Property.

13. Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing procedures to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

We are committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tacking modern slavery throughout our supply chains. Our commitment is to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers and other business partners and we expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

14. General

Where an agreement has not been provided in writing any additions of variations to these Terms and Conditions shall be null and void.

Any typographical clerical or other error or omission in any literature, administrative documentation, course materials, invoice or other document or information issued by PCB Design School shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of PCB Design School.

All parties (including PCB Design School and the Client) shall comply with the Anti-Bribery Act 2010 and will make it clear to those providing services to it, that it does not accept or condone the payment of bribes on its behalf.

The invalidity or unenforceability for any reason of any condition, sub-clause, or paragraph of these Terms and Conditions shall not prejudice of affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

15. Online delivery

For students that have booked the PCB Design School’s online courses, the following requirements are to be followed at all times:

  • Students must at all times throughout the duration of the course maintain their cameras on to ensure that the course is being delivered only to the person that has paid to attend the course.
  • Students must have a microphone to communicate with the lecturer; however, if students do not feel comfortable with speaking when the entire class is on, they can leave a private message in chat to the lecturer to later discuss the questions that the student may have.
  • The course is copyrighted and will be legally protected.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to provide the necessary equipment to attend the course e.g., a microphone, a computer, a camera, a monitor, Teams etc.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to provide a suitable internet connection and no responsibility can be held against the PCB Design School if their internet connection fails, however if there is a failure at the School’s end resulting in the termination of the course without the possibility of restarting the course immediately an alternative date will be scheduled with no additional cost.
